No. Lipoker runs entirely in your browser — Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge. Nothing to install, nothing to update. If you can open a link, you can play.
No account required for either the host or guests. Create a room or enter a room code and you're in. Signing up is optional — it gives you a persistent username you can use across different games so people always know who you are at the table.
Yes. Lipoker is free to play. There's no paid tier for gameplay — the game itself is free for everyone at the table. We use virtual chips only.
No. Lipoker is a social game using virtual chips only. No real money, no gambling.
Lipoker uses WebRTC for peer-to-peer video. Your camera and microphone stream directly between the players in your room — the video signal does not route through our servers. We do not record, store, or process your video stream. You're not on camera to us; you're on camera to your friends at the table.

Yes. Video and audio are opt-in — you can mute or turn off your camera at any time from inside the game. The poker hand continues for everyone regardless of whether a player has video on or off. We'd say video is kind of the whole point of Lipoker, but it's your call.
2 to 9 players per table. 6-player is the most common home-game configuration; 9-player gives you a fuller table feel for bigger groups.
Yes. Set a room password when creating your table. Players who try to join will be prompted for the code before entering the room. Share it with your crew, keep it out of the group chat if you want to keep the game private.
Texas Hold'em is the current variant — full rules including hole cards, flop/turn/river community cards, blind rotation, and hand ranking at showdown. Additional variants are on the roadmap.
Yes. Video is WebRTC peer-to-peer between players in your room — it does not route through our servers, is not recorded, and is not stored. Only the players in your room can see your video.
As a guest, we collect only standard technical information (IP address, browser type, page visits) as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not collect your name or email unless you choose to sign up.
