How Lipoker Works

From "who's playing Friday?" to cards on the table. No installs, no accounts, no back-and-forth about which app to use.

Detailed walkthrough

01

Create your room

Head to the Play page. Name your table, pick your seat count (2–9), set blinds — 1/2 for a casual night, 25/50 if your crew plays seriously — and add a password if you want a private game. Hit Create Table. Room is live in under five seconds.

Share the link

Lipoker generates a unique room link. Copy it and drop it into your group chat — WhatsApp, iMessage, Slack, Discord, wherever your crew lives. Anyone who clicks it lands directly in your room.

Everyone joins, camera on

Friends click the link. The browser asks for camera and microphone access — one permission click and they're at the table with video live. No account, no download, no browser extension. The poker engine takes over from there: dealing, tracking bets, rotating blinds, calculating the pot automatically.

Play Texas Hold'em

Full game engine: blind posting, hole card dealing, flop/turn/river, all betting rounds, showdown with proper hand ranking. Side pots handled. You focus on the game — reading faces on camera, calling that suspicious pre-flop raise, trash-talking after a bad beat. Virtual chips only. No real money, no gambling.

Texas Hold'em hand engine
Automatic blind rotation
Live video at every seat
Virtual chips — no real money

Quick answers

Common questions

Do my friends need an account to join?
No. Anyone with the room link joins as a guest — no signup, no email, nothing to install. They just click, allow camera, and they're in. Signing up is optional and only useful if someone wants a persistent username they can keep across games.
Is video required to play?
Video is opt-in — players can mute or turn off camera at any time, and the poker game keeps going for everyone. That said, video is the whole reason Lipoker exists. Poker is a game of tells. Play with it on if you can.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. Lipoker runs in Chrome for Android and Safari on iOS. Camera and microphone permissions work the same way. If you're joining mid-game from your phone, you can sit down without interrupting the table.
